VB and VBA

I am new at using Access and I see VBA used in this forum sometimes. Is
that Visual Basic for Access? and if so, is it different from Visual Basic?
So far I haven't had to write any code, but it looks like I'm going to have
to soon. Any good books you can recommend.

"Visual Basic for Applications" (I think)

It's the flavor of VB used in all Office apps.
