Values not showing

Stupid question really, but my spreadsheets are just displaying the formulae
in the cells. How do I change them to just display values?
It's so easy I can't see it!

Tools|Options|View tab|Uncheck Formulas

tried that already...no joy.

Ah, I think I've found it. Somehow my formulae (which have worked OK for
about 2 years) decided to mix up the RC references. I expect I've done a
global find/replace on a macro for R???, instead of sticking to the one
macro.
