Values imported from one workbook to another

Hi,
Is it possible to import values in a particular cell in one work book to
another?

My Issue: I have a workbook called "Defect Log" which has Defect Density
Calculated at say G5 Cell. I want to import the value from this defect log to
"status report" work book at say L5 cell.
Is it possible?
 
Hi,

Just link cell L5 in the "Status workbook" to cell G5 of the "Defect log"
workbook by typing = and then selecting G5 of the defect log workbook
