Value you entered isn't valid for this field

I'm getting the above message when entering information into a form. I've
double checked all fields and do not know why I'm getting it. Any help?
 
When you say "double checked" do you mean you've checked the field in
question's data type at table level?

This very often happens when you have fallen victim to Microsoft's
"Lookup Field" mistake. A Lookup Field may APPEAR to contain text -
but if you try to insert text into it you'll get this message, because
the field actually contains a concealed numeric ID. Might this be the
problem?

So how do you determine which lookup field is the problem and how can you
determine the concealed numeric ID? What do you do to fix the issue?

Tim, Did you ever find out how to cure this problem. I seem to be having the
same problem.
