Valid absolute Path Name

Hi;

I am trying to set up a "guest" account so people can access a specific
drive from the net. But when I try to set-up a default file for there
account properties I recieve a error message which says create a "Valid
absolute Path name" I am using \\computername\Drive:\file name. Any help
wopuld be greatly appreciated.

That's not a valid path name - drives are not exposed using their letter
followed by a colon. You need to share the drive using a name (you could use
the default C$ - admin share for drive C - but that is only accessible by
administrators), then use the share name. Eg. if you share drive D: as
drived, the path would be \\computername\drived\filename.

Hi:

Thanks, but I am still getting the same error message, I am using
\\MARKS\marks\tets1, to have the guest account default to the folder test1 on
the marks drive.

Maybe I am missing something
