Vaildation Date from a Differance worksheet

I am trying to populate a validation field with some data from a
difference worksheet, which is a part of the same work book.

Is this possible

The raw data looks like this ‘ CODE, Description ‘ but once I have
chosen the raw data the only bit of data I need is the code, to be left
in the field on the main worksheet.


I know this can be done in ACCESS, but for some reason I have to do
this in excel.

Can anyone help?
 
You may name the range and reference it within
Data>Validation>Allow>List>=MyData
