v6 vs .net -installing

I need to support an old project written in VS6 (vb). I know I've heard
that you can install VS.net with VB6 installed - but...

Is it safe to say that the reverse is also true, with VS.net installed can I
install VS6 and not have problems with either installation??

I don't have time to be messing with hosed installs at this point so wanted
to be sure.

I'm pretty sure that if you want both VB6 and VS.NET on the same machine you
have to put VB6 on first.

I put VS.Net on first once by mistake and when I tried to install VB6 it
failed.
