Using XP Pro on additional computers

We have a retail 'upgrade' copy of Windows XP Pro on our main computer. Now
we have been given two old PCs for my children to use but they have only
Windows 98.

Can I use the existing copy of XP Pro to upgrade these computers as they are
for home use. Or do I have to purchase additional retail upgrades for each?

You have to purchase additional upgrades.

No, you need to purchase a copy for each computer.
One license, one computer, the way it has been since at least Windows 95.

Also before you consider investing in more Windows XP, make sure the
computers are capable of running Windows XP, #3 Upgrade Advisor:
