Using Word to compose mail created from a custom form

I created a custom form to use when sending out a daily status report. However, when I compose a new status report using this custom form the default editor is Outlook 2003 instead of Word. All of my other messages are composed in Word, is there any way to get a custom form to use Word for editing the message?

That setting is on the (Properties) page of the form in design mode.
