Using Word 2003 with Vista Operating System

I recently purchased a new computer with a Vista operating system. I can't
stand the new views and the ribbons at the top and would prefer to use Word
2003. Can I install Word 2003 on a Vista Operating System?

Thanks for the reply. I'm not good with the software end of this so I will
ask: should I remove office 2007 before installing the 2003 version or can I
have both?

You can have both, but the general recommendation, I believe, is to install
them in chronological order. So that would mean to uninstall Office 2007,
install Office 2003, and then reinstall Office 2007. You'll also want to see
http://word2007bible.herbtyson.com/2007/04/15/word-2007-and-word-2003-coexisting/. I
have them running side by side on my Windows XP system, and they get along
reasonably well (though I don't use Word 2007 for much but research on Word
2007).
