Using video loop as background for music lyrics

I have downloaded a video loop for use as a background in Power Point. I
sent the video loop to the back, typed the music lyrics on top of the video
loop, and it all looks great. When I play the presentation, the words appear
for a split second on top of the video loop, then disappear, and the video
loop remains by itself. I have tried every option I know to keep those words
in place while the video loop plays, but alas, they keep disappearing, and no
one I know can tell me what to do. Maybe you know?
