I haven't used PP2000 for sometime. However I tried to view the tutorial from
the help menu. I get the error my security settings are to high or the file
quactrl.ocx did not install correctly. I am using Office 2000 professional
and my operating system is XP home edition. I reinstalled the office 2000,
which is an upgrad from my office ver. 4.3 The reinstall went OK and i have
current office updates. Any help or ideas?

Thanks, EL

Hi Vindys and thanks. However, the link and it's information did not help me
resolve my issue with Power points built in tutorial. I tried the winword.exe
as the article mentioned and as expected it opened word. Next I tried the
same thing with powerpoint.exe /a and got an error message. Still can't use
the tutorial.

I believe that Microsoft decided that the activX control ouactrl.ocx was a
security risk and replaced it with version 2 in an update. As I understand it
this new version will not run (some of) the help scripts. Reinstalling Office
does not overwrite security updates.

Google for ouactrl.ocx (not Quactrl.ocx) and you will find lots of info
