Using the HOSTS file to reroute outgoing packets of a large IP RAnge

Here the story, I seem to have some spyware/adware which
none of my programs seem to be able to remove, however I
know the IP Range which they are reporting to, and I am
wanting to use the HOSTS file to reroute those packets
back to myself so that they do not tie up bandwidth. My
only question is what command I use inside the Hosts File
in order to reroute an entire range?

Download "spybot" and "adaware". These will remove the spyware from your
machine.
