Using SSL

I need to web site visitors to send confidential information from my web
site , can this be done using SSL ? If so are there any articles to assist
..My ISP supports SSL though I understand FPextensions wont work under SSL .
I was hoping to use a form to collect the information . Any info would be
appreciated

SSL- After you get a site certificate and have your provider install it and
tell him which folder to make it required on. I am unaware of any issues
with useing the FPSE and a SSL cert.

Purchase your own SSL Certificate, then have your host apply it to your
entire website.

Hi Thomas thanks for the info so far, One thing I can't get my head round is
that once data has been entered on to a form within an SSL environment what
is best way to get the info back to the web master , by email ? Or logging
in to site , Sorry for asking a thicko question but I will be all the wiser

If you get the information back by email, it will not be secure, as ssl does
not secure the email. You would need to search for and purchase PGP
encryption for email.

If you retrieve the info from a file on the server, you would need to make
sure it is extremely secure.
