I have a problem on doing traverse tables for navigation in excel. on
entering the sine for a course of 310 degrees, I recieve an answer of
0.850887689. I take this as being radians. However on using a calculator the
sine for 310 degrees
is -0.766044443, which is the correct answer. How do I correct this in excel

I suspect that the sine of 310 radians is 0.85...<checking> yep.
