Whenever I add a source file (OK, some of them /are/ Modules)
into a Visual Studio project from a directory "outside" the current
project, 'Studio (2003) insists on taking a local copy of the file.

How can(?) I prevent this?

TIA,
Phill W.

In the dialog used to add the existing file, have a look at the dropdown
button that is used to add the file -- you can choose to reference the
file only there.
