using outlook to deal with my email

I have a hotmail Id. I wondered if I could use outlook to access my emails as
and when necessary. If I can, could you please tell me step by step method of
doing so. I am not very much computer literate.

Depends on the Outlook version, which you decided to keep secret.

Brian,
Since posting my enquiry, I became a paid hotmail id holder which solved the
problem. By the way I use outllook 2003. Could I have done it without paying?
