Using Option Buttons

BooBoo

I know that this is a dumb question, but after adding three option
buttons on a worksheet and grouping them, I cannot exit the edit
mode. Whenever I select a option button, I get the rectangle with the
four circles to resize it. If I select the other two option buttons,
the focus rectangle appears. I cannot click the buttons and have the
three different options buttons select or unselect. If I save and
close the workbook, and reopen it, then I am no longer in the edit
mode on the option buttons. How do I exit the edit mode? Opening and
closing the workbook is not the way to do it. I have googled this,
but no luck. I have tried escape, clicking in a different cell,
switching workbooks, worksheets, and other things, but still no luck.

Never mind, I found it... too late, too tired

Besides having to remember that it's that strange triangle thingy, it's
a PITA for keyboard users to have to grab the mouse just for that -
going both ways, turning it on or off. I addressed all that by
customizing the menu icon to text(always) as

Desi&gn Mode

Desig&n Mode or other choices work too. I just recommend picking an
accelerator key that's not already functional.
