Using the open command to view an htm page results in bold, left aligned page
heading, but using the edit command to view the same page shows a different
looking format, with no bold font and center aligned heading. Why is that ?

Your Edit command is opening the html page in a text
editor, where it appears unformatted. Your Open command is
opening the html page in FrontPage, where it shows the
proper formatting. If you want the edit command to open up
in FrontPage instead,
1. Open a FrontPage web.
2. Tools.
3. Options.
4. Configure Editors tab.
5. Under Extensions, choose txt text asc
6. Under Editors, choose FrontPage (open as HTML) and click
on Make Default.
