I installed an Iomega high speed CDRW. It functions
correctly for drag and drop CD creation. However, when
using the Windows Backup function, the backup wizard does
not recognize the new drive. It states it is not
accessible. Is there a Windows setting I need to update
for the system to recognize the new drive.

That's not the way it operates !

You have to use CD creation software such as Nero or Roxio.

If you want a true backup software that works with a variety of media then get Veritas.

NTbackup can't handle CDRW devices.

Hi,

A simple workaround is to backup to somewhere on your hard disk, and then
copy the backup file to a CD-R. But you do need software that copies files
from your hard disk to the CD-R.
Good luck, Dan Schaffer
