using kazaa please help

when i downloaded kazaa lite ontomy windows xp it doesnt want to connect, is
there some sort of firewall or something i have to shut off or what?? please
reply if you can help thanks

Hi peppytot, i had kazaa once, there is a win xp firewall, but it shouldnt
make any differance i had mine on and my router firewall double wammy!! i
dont use kazza any more, but i do know that somtimes heavy traffic can cause
connection problems, try useing Limewire www.limewire.com

Well what you really want to do is go under options and find the port
that limewire listens to, and make sure you run an ipconfig on your
machine from the command prompt to know your internal adress, log on to
your router and open the port that limewire listens on, and make sure
that the port forwarding knows to open it only on your machine, go into
windows firewall if you choose to use it and create 2 new ports for the
program i believe limewire by default uses 6346 , open those two ports
(TCP/UDP) on the windows firewall and now you can experience turbo
charged downloads....
