Has anyone tried using I-Tunes (.m4p files) as background music on a website using Page Properties in Front Page 2003? There must be a trick...

if the viewer's machine doesn't know what to do with an mp4 it won't be
background music.
I just got stuffed with an I-pod download while trying to get an upgrade for
QuickTime (training ya know) and noticed that they had a pretty extensive
site. you may want to go there to see if there is code/ practices for
putting it on the page as a "player"
maybe just convert the file to a standard format?

Thanks for the tip. I have since discovered that because I purchased the song ($.99), my computer is the only authorized 'player' of the song. So if I embed it in a web page, users/viewers get an Apple error message ... 'your computer is not authorized to play this song...' Maybe there is another way. .

That doesn't sound exactly legal.

wouldn't know. I'm not really sure how you'd go about converting the files
anywhere. it seems like sound on the web is a whole 'nother discipline. ;-)
