Using Excel with multiple monitors

Hi

I have multiple monitors set up on my computer,so that i can sho
different programs on each monitor.

In an ideal world i would like to show two different worksheets on tw
of the monitors so that i can watch the spreadsheets update as ne
realtime information is received.

I don't think it is possible with Excel to create a floating windo
but thought i would ask the experts.

Hi,

You can go to Menu: Window => New Window and drag it to
your other monitor. There you can show a different
worksheet or a different part of the same worksheet.

Thanks Jeff,this allows the screen to be split into different panes bu
doesn't seem to allow me to view one worksheet on one monitor and
different sheet on a new monitor.

I don't own two monitors.

But if you start two separate instances of excel, it might work (from reading
other posts).

If you're having trouble starting a second instance, try:
Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (check it)

Verify by looking under Window for all the files open in that instance.

Talking about viewing two sheets within the same book, the only way I've
been able to do it is to reduce the size of one window and open a second
window like some have sugested, and then with both windows on the same
screen, just stretch the screen over to the second monitor also, and resize
the windows to fit the two screens...............

Talking about two different books, just open a second session of Excel and
put it on the other screen........two books open, two screens, works
fine..............

I have two monitors at home and three at work, so I know this works.........
