Using contacts through a new message

In Outlook when you open a new message you can quickly
access your contacts by clicking TO... on the message.
This is great however when my contacts opens it shows each
contact multiple times.

For Example it might have John Doe listed 3 times. Once
for email address, another for business fax, and yet
another for a 2nd email.

The problem is first I really don't want to see any
contact fax #'s because if I'm sending an email why would
I. Second, the contacts display as "John Doe" for all 3
of the above. So I have to click the properties to see
which of the 3 is the email I want to use.

The standard behavior for the Outlook Address book is to display all
electronic addresses (both fax and e-mail). That behavior cannot be changed.
The only way to prevent the display of fax numbers is to store them in a
different field or to disguise them (e.g., precede them with an alpha
character) so that Outlook won't recognize them as phone numbers.
There are also a number of utilities available that can do this for you
automatically. Some are listed here:
