Using Clipart in PowerPoint

Uh, a friend of mine has this problem. She bought a clipart CD and she
wants to use it in PowerPoint. As she is computer literacy challenged, she
needs some help and I have been elected. Yeah! I was wondering what is the
easiest for a computer challenged person to use clip art in PowerPoint? I
assume I need to install the files to her machine. And then do I use
PowerPoint to insert the images into the clip art gallery? I really haven't
used clip art before so before I stumble around I thought I would ask youse
peoples.

TIA.

Some Clipart is contained in compressed files and will only be available
using the viewer that comes with the collection.

If the collection is not in compressed files and disk space is available you
can copy the collection to a location on the HDD then import the clips into
Clip Gallery but you would need to manually add keywords to the clips for
searching. To import clips open Clip Gallery then click Import Clips select
the clips then click import.

The easiest thing to do with a clipart collection would be to use the viewer
that comes with the collection and use copy/paste to get the clips into
PowerPoint

Thanks for the suggestions Paul. I think that makes sense. The CD purports
to contain 20,000 images so any manual editing of them is out of the
question. I haven't had access to it yet so I will check if they are
compressed or not. I was hoping that clip art had some "well known" format
that included category, keywords, etc. to allow easy import into the
gallery. I don't see the copy/paste as too hard though so I think I will
recommend that option.

Thanks again.
