using arabic and english date

Dear Sir,

I'm using windows xp and office xp ... i have problem in access i'm entring
data through access form and i have in this form two fields for the date one
for arabick date and the other for english date.. and i have create commond
button infront each field... so when i press the button which is infront the
arabic field it will insert today's date becuase the clendar is set to arabik
date.. now my problem is with english date what i have to do get english date
when i press the button for english date field... i realy need to solve this
case.. and i a'm sure you are helping your customer... thanks in advanced..

As to your question. You may need to look in the after market for a
function that will convert between Arabic and Julian dates. Your system can
only run on one calendar at a time. Trying to swap your system calendar
between the two can result in all kinds of problems when it comes to keeping
things straight.

Because the two calendars have different bases (lunar and solar) the
conversion, while doable is not quick and simple. If you can't find existing
software on the market, you might try a source like Knuth's Algorithms for
documentation on what is involved in that conversion.
