Hello Group.

Let's say I have several worksheets, each named after a
month of the year. Then I have a cover sheet that
compares the data from each worksheet. So, in my cover
sheet, the months are listed down the A column. Cell A1
is January, and in B1..B 25 I have some sums and averages
based on the data in the January! worksheet.

Now I'm in Row 2, and in A2 I write February. I want to
copy the cells in Row 1 onto Row 2. The cells are
comparable, the difference is that in Row 2 they come from
the February! worksheet. That should be easy, right?

Is there a formula I can use which converts the
word "February" from Cell A2 to the "February!" I need in
my functon for the rest of Row 2? Or is there another way
of accomplishing this? THANKS!

Frank, thanks for that very prompt and great reply! I
never knew about the INDIRECT formula. However, I'm
embarrassed to say I'm still stuck. In cell Cover!F1 I
have the word string July. In cell Cover!F2 I want to
pull the sum of cells (July!K4:K6). Can you demonstrate
how I'd use INDIRECT? Sorry I'm so dense. Hank
