Using a usb printer with remote desktop

Is it possible to use a usb printer with remote desktop.
I am connecting to my office computer using remote
desktop from home and I am trying to print a file on my
office computer on my home usb printer. Is this possible
and if so how do I set it up. Can you help?

you could send the file to your home computer. then just
open on the home computer if it has the program the file
requires.

then just get the home computet to print usin the remote
desktop

I never could get my USB printer at home to work with Remote Desktop. I
finally just reinstalled my old parallel printer for this.
