Users vs Default users Profile

I want to set up window XP computer with Office XP and other software
completly with the settings and optionsI desire as that user. Can I make all
those seetings and options as a default setting by deleting default users and
remaining profile to default users so that when I create a new user, they do
do have to ajust or do anything. Is this possible or only to a certain
extent?
