User's profile permissions.

I was having some troubles related with security on my
Windows XP professional and changed some file
permissions. After that, on the log on, I always have the
following message:

Windows cannot load the user's profile but has logged you
on with the default profile for the system.

DETAIL - Access is denied.
--------------------------------------------------------
I tried to undo, but the message persists, and I am also
having problems regarding the use Windows Media Player,
when I put it off-line the outlook go off-line together.
Does someone has a solution?

You have to reverse your security changes. Move the files somewhere.

You obviously haven't. Is this a roaming profile with cached and server copies.

%SystemRoot%\Debug\UserMode\Userenv.log might shed some light on it.

A couple suggestions:

1 Use system restore to roll back to before you made the changes.
2 Boot into safe mod, log on as admin, then try to change the settings back
