Users opening attachments view them in reading format, how to chan

In our office, if you send a word attachment, when the person viewing it
opens the attachment, regardless of how it was saved by the person who
developed the document, it automatically opens in reading format, with a two
page view. How do I change this so that when others open an attachment it
opens in normal view?

You can't do anything to your document to assure that it doesn't open in
Reading Layout view, as this is a setting on the recipient's computer. You
can suggest that the recipient disable "Allow starting in Reading Layout" on
the General tab of Tools | Options. Some may choose not to do so, but others
will be grateful to learn how to do this, as users seem to be quite
polarized about this feature.
