users in database

Is there a way to find out which users are in a particular database in
Access? When you try to open exclusively it will let you know that someone
else is in the database but can you find out which user so you can ask them
to get out?

There are a couple of ways of determining this, but unless you've applied
Access User-Level Security (so that each user has to log into the database),
it will report Admin for all users. It'll give you the correct Machine Name,
but that's not usually that useful for tracking down who's using the
database.

If you can live with those restrictions, take a look at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/176670/EN-US/ or
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/198755/EN-US/

(while both of those articles imply they're only for 1 version of Access, I
believe the first will work with newer versions, and the second does apply
to Access 2002 and Access 2003 and, I believe, Access 2007)

Thanks! Yes, each user has to log into the database so I can live with those
restrictions.
