Users can not see shares on Server ...please help

Have windows 2000 server set up as a file server for our
office. Our network is small so we use a workgroup. I
have the server setup to share a folder in the E: drive.
I have permissions and Security set to everyone. But no
one can see the folders or drive. Whats settings would
make this server not be seen on the network. When Im on
the server I can see some of the other machines but they
cant see the server. The basic error I see most is "Path
not found" or "unable to locate path". I have a feeling
it might be the DNS server. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

JD

Are you using network places/nieghborhood etc to view this?

Map directly to the drive from the machines, you don't have to pull it through network places. You can go to start, run and type the following \\servername\sharename or you can go into explorer, map network drive, put in the info, and select the drive. GL pal..
