users and install rights

Ok, i have a fealing that this is a common question, but
the search isn't working right on this site for me... But
is there a way to change the rights to the group USER to
be able to install software? On windows 2000 server
there seems to be no PowerUser group on Windows 2000
Server to allow software install on the workstations. I
have searched the GPO high and low and can't find
anything, any support would be wonderful!

thanks,
jake

Users don not have the right to install software. It's not a permission you
can grant. You could use restricted groups to place the "Users" group into
the Power Users group on all local machines.
