Users and Group backup and restore

Is there any way to back up all users and groups, including their passwords, and then restore them
 
Backup system state data in a DC.

What scenario are you going to be using this? To he same machine or
different machine? Domain accounts?

addusers command located in the resource kit (you can search for it in the
KB.)

So if I back up the system state to tape drive, rebuild the DC then restore the system state this will restore all users and groups, including all information such as passwords, terminal scripts and so on
 
No... You must have another DC on line if you want to do that. If you want
to rebuild (re format, re install), you must have another DC before doing
it, and you must transfer the DC roles before the rebuild and after the
rebuild....
If you don't know what you are doing... don't do it... this is not an
ordinary task.
