Username field greyed out when connecting to network

Hi,

I am using Win XPPRO, I had set up the proper account on
the target machine, but when I tried to logon using
run:\\192.168.0.23 the username and password field popped
out, however the username field is auto filled
with "(machine_name)\Guest" and the field is grey out. Is
there a way to fix this so that outher user can log in
properly. Thanx.

Hi -

Turn off simple file sharing on the remote machine. All
XP Home machines (and XP Pro machines that have simple
file sharing enabled) provide access through the Guest
account.
