Userform freezes

Hi!

I use a userform to input text data in textboxes. The textboxes are
linked to cells in a hidden sheet in the workbook. Sometimes, the
userform freezes when called, I have to terminate Excel with Task
Manager (Excel uses 99% CPU time and the used memory keeps growing
on). Sometimes, the form works with no problem, even if I use it
several times in a row.

This bug happens on all machines I tried, with Win2K or Win98. I work
with Excel 97 SR-2.

Any idea?

This sounds like a familiar Excel 97 bug - where the workbook has been saved in Excel 2000 sometime in its life. I had exactly this today and traced the 'error' to the userform code. I copied the code, deleted the old code, then pasted the code down (ie I made no actual changes to the code itself), saved the file, and it now works fine. the file had got corrupted by a user doing changes to the VB code in Excel 2000.

Excel 97 should come with a health warning !!!!
