Hello,

I have a really odd problem. Basically, for all users on
my Windows XP computer that aren't admins, are not able
to logon. They click their icon, enter in the password,
and click the -> arrow, but it returns to the "welcome"
screen.

I've re-created all of the users; I can't seems to find
anything in Group Policy or lusrmgr.msc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

J_Max

Check that the users have full control permissions to their profile under documents
and settings and that they have the logon locally user right assignment in Local
Group Policy [secpol.msc] usually via the users or everyone group. If that does not
help then possibly they have insufficient ntfs/registry permissions and you may want
to use secedit to restore security to default defined levels as described in KB
below. --- Steve

Thanks -- I'll give it a whirl.

This can happen when something is the startup of the
account fails, notably a login script.
