I just upgraded my system with a new motherboard and I was expecting problems
with Windows XP Pro. I could not boot into my installation. I had looked
around on the internet and suggested remedy was to do repair from the XP cd.
This did not work.
What I ended up doing was partitioning part of my drive and installing
Windows XP Pro on that. This gave me two partitions (~100GB and ~15GB) The
installation that is 15GB is where the new installation resides. I want to be
able to continue to use all my programs that are on the 100GB partiton. Is
there a way that I can have the installation on the 15GB partition look to
the 100GB partiton to get things I need (Installed Programs, User Data, etc)
I would like the installed program list to have all the programs that are
installed under the ~100GB.
I have the Retail CD for XP Pro.
