user profiles

i accidently switched my user profile from administrator to limited acces, and now i can get it to switch back. i can't switch users or change user types. i can't even add a new user. when i try to do something it says access denied. how do i get it back to administrator with full access?

Log in as the original adminstrator (if XP home, you will have to do this in
Safe Mode) and change your user back to an administrator.

Hi,

Home or Pro?

For WinXP Pro, hit ctrl+alt+delete at the welcome screen to get the older
logon screen. Enter "administrator" here and the password (if one was set).

For WinXP Home, restart the system and hit F8 at boot. This should get you a
boot menu where you can choose safe mode. Choose the administrator account
from the logon screen.

Now, once you are in. Go to the Control Panel/Users, and change your account
back to what it was.
