This morning, I tried to log into my profile on my computer. However,
was logged into a default account with a message telling me that m
profile was not working properly. I tried Startup Repair but it didn'
work. I tried to find the solution online as well but it did not help.

I even deleted my other account and made a new one. It still didn'
work. I think my files are still on my main disk but every time I tr
to access them, they don't show. How come it still won't work? Hel

I had attempted a System Restore when I first found out that I could no
log onto my account. The system restore said it restored properly bu
there was no point dated before the error, therefore it did not fix.

May I ask how to do a clean reinstall? :D

Zngnn,

It may be to corrupted to repair. You might see if you will be able to
create another user account that will work properly. If so, then yo
can
just delete the old one from within the new one. If not, then you may
need to do a clean reinstall.

Zngnn,

You could try a System Restore using a restore point dated before-
this-
error. Use Method Two in the tutorial below to do this at boot i
you
do
not have any access to a administrator account.

'System Restore - How to - Vista Forums'
('System Restore - How to - Vista Forums

Hope this helps,

Hello Zngnn,

You might see if this may be able to help you fix this error if it
is
the same.

loaded. - Vista Forums' ('The User Profile Service failed the

Hope this helps,

I am having the exact same problem. Did the link that Brink sent you to
solve your problem? Or do you know of any other solutions to this problem?

You can always go in, thru another Admin account, and rename your old
profile by adding a 1 to end for example, and it will just create a
new profile next time you log into that account. All you old settings,
IE links, everything personal will be lost but it will work. By
renaming you can then go back into that old account thru Windows
Explorer and copy that old stuff over to the new profile. Just be
carefull though, something in that old profile caused a problem, you
could end up copying it into the new profile!!
