After rectifying a virus related problem, a user profile
was deleted. Has this removed the data - my documents,
outlook emails etc from the hard disk? If so are they
retrievable?

cheers

You need to look for the files. Open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Documents
and Settings\<user name>. Where <user name> is the name of the account that
was deleted. If it is there, expand the folders to see if the files are
still there. You may want to have your AV scan these files again, just to
make sure.

If the account name is not there, the files are probably gone.
