I am using Word 97 on a computer that has Windows 2000
installed as the operating system. When I set the
privileges on the computer to "User" this action disables
the Spell Check feature in Word. If I set the privileges
to "Power User" the spell check feature is enabled. I
would like to be able to set the privileges to "User" and
still have the full function of Word. Do you know of a fix
for this situation? I asked this question on an "expert"
website and received the following answer: "I'm not an
expert in the operating system I'm afraid, but it SOUNDS
as though the installation has put the spelling options
into a users profile, rather than as a global setting -
not sure how one gets round this though - I think you
would need the help of a windows 2000 expert."
Is anyone familiar with a solution to my problem?
