Jeff,

Guest account, by design cannot connect to internet. Cannot initialize a RAS connection. But it can use an already ON cable/dsl/lan or already connected dial-up account using Fast user Switching.

Dial-up connections might terminate while switching users. To prevent that, download:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/KeepRAS.Exe

Also, check these sites:

I have a dsl line directly connected to my pc. It uses PPPoE to connect. I have two users that are administrators and one that is a regular user. When i made a new user, the user was unable to connect to the internet.

Also from what u said previously i can connect the guest account using Fast user switching.... i am sorry i am not familiar with that...

thank you for helping me with this
