user-logon delayed

When i logon to nt4.0 domain whith updated workstation
(nt4.0 to w2k; rowing user-profile) the logon takes about
two minutes.Formerly (nt4.0 workstation) there was no
delay. Obviously it is searching for something.
Any suggestion?

Are you using AD ? If so, make sure that your sites and sevices are
configured correctly... the delay could be the result of the workstation
trying to find the domain controller so it can be authenticated, and if your
sites and DNS are not configured properly, long delays are normal.
