Hi there,
I've read up on the user level security wizard and I've successfully gone
through it once. But I'm problem I have now is the report that should appear
at the end is taking too long. The progress bar "Enhancing Security" doesn't
budge. Why does this happen, how can I stop it and how can I get my report
printed?
thanks

Are you sure the "Enhancing Security" progress bar is being triggered by
user level security? What version of Access are you using. I have never
seen that progress bar. Maybe it is related to a newer version than I have
experience with. Are you sure that is an Access thing? Could it be some
other security device (LAN Windows etc.) ?

I'm using Access 2003. I've since found out from another error that the User
Level Security Wizard won't let me run the wizard if I ran it under another
users name. i assume that issue came up as well because the wizard never
completely finished in the first place but I can't be sure.
You could be right in that the progress bar is from something else but it
only shows up at the end of the ULS wizard.

I might suggest that at this time you may want to try and copy or export
the tables, data, queries etc. into a new database and go from there. It
sounds like you may have some corruption.

Well at least you need to log on as the original user or another user
with full administrator rights.
