When using IE6 I get an error message that Explorer has
caused an error in USER.EXE and then it shuts down. How
can I correct this?

Lila,
There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite)

Download, install, *update* and run one or both of these programs:
Ad-aware from http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
Spybot from http://security.kolla.de/ (Remove items listed in red-others are
optional.)

There are other possible causes for the USER.EXE errors.

Hope this helps,
