user defined fields missing from custom fields when importing why

I need to import data from access. I created user defined fields. The user
defined fields are missing from the right hand "map custom fields" WHY? What
can iI do to fix this problem?
 
Outlook does not support importing to a custom fields. You would need to write your own import code or use a third-party tool. See http://www.outlookcode.com/article.aspx?id=23
