anyone know a good book or online resource on user control design in windows
forms.

thanks

Anthony,

I agree with you that this is a jungle. As we saw in this newsgroup
yesterday there are still people who want to give the shape and controls on
a form all there own signature like artists.

Mostly is just following Microsoft the most easy way.

Not that they are already good, if that was true they would not have to
change their designs so often, because that it is in my opinion still in its
first evolution years.

Therefore in my opinion don't follow them to quick with there new designs.
Think for that about the mediaplayer with its constantly changing designs
which started with the free shapes

Think about the design that all new things look often nice, however a brake
in a car at the right side and a throttle on the left will need a very big
airbag. There are things the user is used to and he is not able to change
that anymore.

A book is because that we see that these formats are still in their first
evelotion years probably fast outdated or/and can give you the direction of
a hype.

Just my thought,

Cor
