How can I reset his display back to defaults. I can log on as admin and see
everything fine. If I log onto his profile and the background, dialog
boxes, and text are all black, I do see Icons on the desktop but not much
else. Help! Thanks in advance. mike

Go to Display in Control Panel or right click on any
blank space on desktop and choose Properties to bring
up Display Properties.

Under Themes, choose WindowsXP and then click on Apply & Ok
and should be back to default settings as when first install XP. Can
then modify to your liking under the various display headings.

Right click on desktop, down arrow six times, Enter, tab right four times,
right arrow three times, tab right once, press w, tab right five times,
Enter.

That "should" restore the Windows Classic appearnace - from there you can
then (re)set whatever appearance you/he wants.

If these key strokes don't work for you under his account then try refining
the sequence under an account where you can see the menus etc.
